Top gospel artiste Mathias Mhere has rallied fans and promoters to come in numbers for the launch of his 6th album titled Old Testament which features another talented musician Mkhululi Bhebhe.
The new offering will be unveiled at what promises to be a colourful event that will be graced by other prominent gospel musicians including Mechanic Manyeruke, Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, Bethen Pasinawako, Sebastian Magacha and Freeman.
In an interview with AllnetAfrica.com Mhere said, “Fans should expect great music in this album since it is a unique project”.
The new album which will be accompanied by a video of one of the songs in it, is set to propel Mhere to the next level as the artist introduced more guitars to the compositions than in previous projects.
Mhere took the country’s gospel music industry by storm after taking limelight from Pastor Charles Charamba who had dominated the scene for nearly a decade.
Most of Mhere’s albums have proved to be successes, laden with distinctive sing-along tunes.
The album, Anoita Minana – which carried the hit song “ Favour” made him a household name in Zimbabwe.
Mhere’s previous albums include Tinoda Nyasha, Anoitaminana, Nguva YeNyasha , Glory to Glory and Double Double.
