Cape Town - Residents in Kraaifontein’s Wallacedene settlement watched a free street theatre when two men and a woman fought over the paternity of a newly born baby.
A middle- aged Zimbabwean woman is blaming her ex-husband for impregnating her and refusing to take responsibility of the new baby.
“This is your Child and I won’t release you. I want the whole community to know the truth and I will fix you,” said a furious woman, while viciously grabbing her ex-husband whom she divorced about three years ago.
The man only identified as Kadodzvo and is preparing for a wedding with his new wife has denied fathering the new baby. All the drama unfolded in the eyes of Kadonzvo’s new wife who kept on shielding his husband from his ex-wife’s random blows.
Kadonzvo claims he knows the his ex-wifes’ boyfriend and is the one answerable.
However, as the two continue pulling and pushing each other in the eyes of over fifty residents, a visibly drunk Zimbabwean man appeared and claimed to be the father of the baby.
”I am the father of this baby and I pay rent here every month…you can ask the landlord here,” the man fumed as he sprang confidently.
The landlord confirmed to allnetafrica.com that the boyfriend visits the woman occasionally.
The scuffle continued until the police arrived. The two were then whisked to a local hospital where paternity Paternity tests were reportedly carried out.

This is not the first time Zimbabweans in Cape Town have appeared in the media for love and paternity issues.
In October, a Zimbabwean man in the same neighbourhood allegedly killed a week-old baby boy by bashing him against the ground in a fit of rage after his wife disclosed that she was impregnated by the husband’s big brother.
The murder shocked both Zimbabweans and locals in Kraaifontein, Cape Town.
