Maputo: The former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Angola, Ricardo Velloso, has taken office as the new head of mission to Mozambique.
According to a report in Lusa, Velloso will assume the Mozambique office in a fortnight..
“I am the new head of the IMF mission to Mozambique, but I am based in Washington,” Velloso reportedly told Lusa.
Ricardo Cicchelli Velloso will continue to serve as the IMF mission chief for Angola, which has Max Alier as its resident representative, “for two more weeks”, as it has not yet been announced who in Washington will follow the Angolan economy and the execution of the programme signed in April.
