Fireworks are expected when Legendary Zimbabwean musician Oliver Mtukudzi returns to the mother city following a highly successful gig held last year in November.
Mtukudzi is set to perform again at ArtsCape on Friday the 15th of June 2018.
“Last year we had an over-subscribed show when we celebrated Tuku’s 65th birthday and calls from those who attended the show and enjoyed and those who missed to have him back were loud and clear. Hence by popular demand we have brought him back, we believe talent deserves continuous exposure,” Tongai Mbidzo of Xtratime Entertainment told Allnet Africa.
The event being organised by Xtratime Entertainment and supported by Mukuru.Com will likely be a repeat of the previous event where Tuku performed to a full house and kept fans on their feet pumping out hit after hit.
The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador will take the opportunity to introduce his latest album to thousands of his fans in Cape Town.
Tongai Mbidzo has urged fans to come in numbers and celebrate Fathers’ Day, Youth Day and weekend dancing to the blend of tuku music and that of supporting acts, among them, by Bryan K, Probeats and Sylent Nqo.
