Irizar has launched the new IRIZAR i6S PLUS coach model at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, with presence of Coach operators from all Southern African countries and West Africa, including Ghana, Cameroun, Burkina Faso.
Operators who attended included Eagle Liner, Intercape, Eldo Coaches from South Africa and Chihwa Tours, Monururama and King Lion from Zimbabwe among others.
The official launch happened with the presentation of the new luxurious model in versions 14 and 15 meters, that complements the Irizar i6 Coach range.
The IRIZAR i6 family is now complete to the African markets, and includes the model i6 , i6 PLUS, i6 FRONT ENGINE and now receiving the new i6S PLUS.
As top of range version the i6S PLUS will be exclusively assembled over rear engine coach chassis, to High level Tourism applications and High Luxury long distance and cross border operations.
Irizar presented the overview of the Irizar Group, revealing the technology and sustainability strategy and the new generation of technology products and solutions available to customers.

The Irizar i6S PLUS
Launched to the market last year in Europe, and Coach of the year in Spain 2017, it is a versatile coach, suitable for Luxury long and short distances as well as for VIP services.
A coach that arrives to cover the segment of those customers who need coaches “worldwide state of art” with a central aisle and with the “V” style and technology of the iconic i8, with the lines, technology and spirit of the new generation of Irizar.
In the event were presented 4 Coaches of this model: 3 of 15 meters “long distance “and one 14 meters “Tourism” specifications, all equipped with 3 axles.
New features of the i6S PLUS: exterior design, seats available in different new material versions and colours, improved entrance features, bigger luggage volume, toilet, dashboard controls and improvements to driving, and an amazing interior with extreme care for comfort and very nice-looking combination of colours and materials.
The vehicles presented at the launch were assembled over the best coach chassis models available in the market: Scania, Mercedes Benz, Volvo and MAN.
This way Irizar is offering to Africa the same and most advanced models available in the market worldwide. The Irizar i6S is simultaneously being launched in all Latin America, Africa and Australia and is a best seller in Europe already.
