Zimbabwe’s top artiste Leonard Karikoga Zhakata will mark his 52nd Birthday with the release of a single track, at a time concerts are banned due to Covid-19 lock-down.
Zhakata’s loyal fan-base will get a present from the maestro this time in the form of a song and not a gig as had become the norm with the Zimbabwe All Stars front-man.
Leonard revealed to AllnetAfrica that he will be releasing a single track on his birthday and his fans can get it on YouTube (Leonard Zhakata Official) , Facebook and other social media platforms.
Zhakata rose to fame in 1994 with the hit song ‘Mugove’ off the album ‘Maruva Enyika’.
He broke new ground in the music industry by becoming the youngest and the first Zimbabwean solo musician to sell over 100 000.
