Matchbox Feeds Hundreds of Children in South African Townships - Photos

Matchbox-Africa is feeding many children in Mfuleni, Cape Town (Photo: AllnetAfrica).

Matchbox-Africa, together with its partners, continues to embark on a feeding scheme which will see more than a million meals being availed to hundreds of hungry children in the poor township of Mfuleni in Cape Town.

In partnership with international partners, Matchbox is spearheading the mobilisation and distribution food parcels to children and their families in Cape Town’s under-resourced townships (Photo: AllnetAfrica).

More than 500 children have repeatedly a received food aid in an ongoing scheme which seeks to cushion pre-school learners from the effects of the covid-19 and South Africa’s extended lock-down (Photo: AllnetAfrica).
These are some of the children who have benefited from the feeding scheme being spearheaded by Matchbox.
The Community of Mfuleni is grateful to Matchbox and its Founder Verena Grips for a noble initiative which has which has evaded a complete humanitarian catastrophe in the Township.

Matchbox forms part of the TOGETHER FOR CAPETOWN network, which was created to raise funds for the Emergency Food Programme.
